Spotlight is an entertainment industry startup building India’s largest creative networking platform. The product aims to connect artists, performers, technicians, and creative professionals with job opportunities and collaborations. By creating a structured digital ecosystem, Spotlight helps talent showcase their work, connect with industry professionals, and discover projects more efficiently.
The Challenge
Creative networking in the entertainment industry traditionally relies heavily on personal connections and referrals. Spotlight aimed to shift this behaviour by creating a platform where creatives could network, communicate, and discover opportunities digitally. The challenge was to design a platform that felt intuitive, trustworthy, and valuable enough for users to adopt alongside their existing networking habits.
What we delivered?
We designed and developed Spotlight as a seamless multi-platform experience, including a marketing website and mobile applications for both iOS and Android. The app was built to simplify networking while maintaining user privacy and control over communication. We created intuitive portfolio showcase features that allowed users to highlight their work while also linking external portfolio platforms, ensuring continuity with their existing professional presence. Advanced filtering and search capabilities were introduced to help creatives find relevant gigs quickly and efficiently. The platform also provides a structured and easy-to-use gig posting system, allowing recruiters and project owners to discover and connect with suitable talent with minimal friction.
Impact and Results
As a newly launched platform, long-term user adoption and marketplace growth are still evolving. However, the product successfully established a structured digital framework for creative networking, offering users a dedicated platform for showcasing work, discovering opportunities, and connecting with industry professionals in a more organised and accessible manner.
